Future Fernhill

Future Fernhill will evolve over the next decade, as it has done since 1947. Construction on the $48 million first stage, which will create a state-of-the-art new multi-storey community for 162 residents, will commence March 2019 and is due for completion by the end of 2020.

The New Site

The site will incorporate a beautiful landscaped setting with underground parking to maximise green space. Large green open spaces will welcome the community, family and friends surrounded by modern architecturally designed buildings, independent living units, a dementia care environment designed in line with internationally recognised dementia care design principles.

Community Involvement

Fernhill has strong links with the Caboolture community and is the site for the town’s ANZAC services, as well as having strong ongoing relationships with a range of external community groups. Keeping the community informed about and engaged with this project will be central to its success.

Resident Benefits

In conjunction with extensive community consultation and the design workshops with QUT, Future Fernhill will represent the needs of current and future residents. A retail precinct and a public plaza will form part of the complex, inviting the community to participate in the daily life of Future Fernhill.

This redevelopment project builds on the rich history of our Fernhill community and positions it to become a contemporary, architecturally designed community that will cater to the growing needs of the Caboolture region. It will offer new residential options, independent living units and our new concept for serviced apartments delivering flexible support as required.

Living Labs

Bolton Clarke’s Fernhill community at Caboolture will be the site for one of two Queensland-based “living labs” testing early commercial technologies to enhance energy efficiency and enable renewable solutions.
